Ria pressed the DVD player and put the disc back in its case. She was halfway through (500) Days of Summer when she invited Nico to come over. After hearing from Nico, she was thankful that Jason was out. If Jason had not left the cabin, Zeus knows what will happen next. She turned the television off and Nico arrived just in time for the next batch of microwaved popcorn.
“Get inside.” She called out as she transferred the popcorn to another bowl.
“It’s good to see you too, then.” He greeted as he entered the cabin. He saw Ria holding a bowl of what it seemed freshly made popcorn. “Where are your other siblings…?” He asked her, raising an eyebrow. The cabin was completely empty aside from the two of them.
Nico sat down on Cabin 11’s porch and sat down. So maybe he got into an argument with their Cabin Counselor, that doesn’t mean she still doesn’t want to talk, right? Whatever. I’ll just wait. I’m pretty sure she can’t be mad at me… He thought to himself, crossing his arms as he leaned on the cabin’s pillar.
Nico was casually walking around camp, his sword on his right. He was trying to pass time, and there weren’t any errands to do. The boy passed by the arena, and decided to go and train for a while, and went on to attack a dummy, but unknown to him, there was someone else who was attacking the same dummy.
“What the Hades?!” The boy stopped in his tracks as a trail of arrows came chasing his trail. He looked behind him and saw a blonde from afar.
Ria arrived camp earlier than most of the cabin counselors. She found two unclaimed demigods, whom she suspected to be daughters of Dionysus, but failed to convince their parents to let them go to camp, but have agreed that they would keep in touch.
After reporting to Chiron about her trip, he allowed her to have the day off. So she decided to spend most of the day walking around camp, watching other campers train and wondering if she was the only one who failed to recruit a new demigod. She backed up and bumped into someone when an arrow almost hit her, missing her by an inch and would’ve hit her arm if she didn’t move. She turned around to apologize, when she found herself face to face with her best friend.
Nico came back from Iceland earlier that day, as he recruited a couple. Now, they were snogging up somewhere that he didn’t want to know. It irritated him, since campers were supposed to be training, and not snogging or shagging or whatever.
“Oh. It’s you.” Nico replied non-nonchalantly, scratching the back of his head. He was going around camp, trying to find his sister, Angelique, since he needed to know if she took some of his stuff with her. He looked at Ria for a moment and moved away a little more. “Er… yeah. Hi.” He began, attempting to turn around to leave.
Her expression brightened. “Great! John said that there aren’t a lot of offspring from the Big Three since World War II.” As a whole, she found Camp Half-Blood very interesting. All the little things about it interested her. A small, pixie-like girl stepped out of a tree and was immediately chased after by a satyr. Some campers surrounded the lake and she could only make out tentacles before they reached the Hades cabin.
“Ah, yes. There are only few of them. I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of Percy Jackson? He’s from Poseidon. There are like, 10-13 children of the big three that exist. As far as I know, at least.” Blanche knocked on the door thrice. “If you feel scared, then just hold on to me. This place is usually scary for other campers,” She told Poppy.
Nico was sitting in the living room of the cabin, slouching on the sofa, staring at the ceiling. He was still tired after what happened last night with Pheles, but he decided to forget about the whole thing. He heard the knock on the door, and immediately went over to open it. When he did, he was greeted by a pair of blondes, one was tall, and the other one was shorter. “Uh…Hello, Blanche? And…this is…?” He raised an eyebrow at the girl.
Pheles stood behind the crowd of singing campers. It’s like nothing crazy happened during yesterday’s game. In truth, none of them have actually spoken about the incident, since Chiron ordered the campers to forget about the whole thing. But, none of these were the daughter of Nike’s concerns. She was more interested in meeting this certain son of Hades. Why? Well, it’s all because she wanted to troll her best friend. After all, she’s been hanging out with this dude for a few days now.
Nico went outside his cabin. The boy wasn’t really in a good mood for anything, but then for some reason, he just couldn’t say no to the girl named Pheles. Probably because he needed someone to talk to. Usually he’d go and see Blanche at this time of the night, and the two of them would just talk at random. He’d do it today, if it wasn’t for his guilt and pride that prevents him from even looking the girl in the eye. Anyway, he spotted the brunette amongst the campers and greeted her casually. “Hey, Pheles, right?”
Nico checked upon Angelique for the last time, looking if her fever’s gone down. Good enough, it had, so he didn’t need to worry that much about her. He went out of his cabin, and saw the platinum blonde standing outside her own. After all, their cabins were right in front of each other’s.
He went up to her quietly and tapped her shoulder with a small smile. “Merry Christmas, Blanche.” He greeted her, his tone a little sullen.
Blanche made her way behind the rocks at the shore, the meeting place for her, Katie and Nico to discuss the plan for tonight’s capture the flag. As usual, she got there before anyone else did, and began to draw a formation in the sand with a random tree branch.
Nico got to the destination in record time, since just came back from Ancient Greek, which was at the other end of camp. He found Blanche behind the rocks, drawing stuff and decided that it was safe to talk to her now. “Uh, hey there, Blanche.” He greeted her, but she didn’t reply, so he simply say down on a rock.
Nico stood up from his seat as he watched Clarisse scold the younger campers about proper handling of clubs. He chuckled a bit before he walked over to the blonde who had her arms crossed, and was also watching the scene itself. Nico poked her and smile slightly. “Hello, Blanche.”
After he finally convinced the blonde, Nico began to follow Blanche as she turned around to go to her cabin. They were in the middle of the woods in Camp and he didn’t know why he was there in the first place, but frankly, he couldn’t care anymore. He eyed her closely, wondering what he should say next.
“Uh… Nice weather, huh?” He asked, a little dumbly.
